Our Mission
This site is ment to enlighten you about the progression of lunch reform by the Black Panthers. This site will provide information, videos, pictures, and a couple of quotes from the Black Panther Party and their Free Lunch Program.
Black Panther History
The Black Panther Party or BPP were a civil rights activist group, determined to help the struggling black and oppressed people of America. The Black Panthers were founded by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. They used unique tactics to create an avenue for civil rights and justice for all Americans. BPP, unlike other civil rights groups, had a reputation for being a violent political organization. However, despite their violent sterotype, there was more to The Black Panther politcal group. AlthoughThe Black Panthers killed many police officers, the group also saved lives by doing various community projects. One of those community projects was school lunch reform. The Panthers were the voice for those who could not speak. This site will show an unbias view of The Black Panthers.
